STORK

The TEKTELIC STORK (STORKBEU868) is a rugged, long-life LoRaWAN asset tracker designed for tracking pallets, vehicles, machinery, and equipment in any environment. Powered by the Semtech LoRa Edge™ LR1110 transceiver, STORK delivers three complementary positioning technologies in a single device — low-power GNSS for outdoor positioning, BLE scanning for indoor beacon-based localization, and Wi-Fi sniffing for indoor positioning where Wi-Fi networks are available. The IP67 enclosure operates from −40 to +70 °C and supports installation via two-sided clips with both soft-lock (releasable) and hard-lock (permanent) options. Onboard accelerometer triggers more frequent geolocation updates when the asset is in motion, and ambient temperature and humidity are continuously monitored. Optional 12 V external power input supports vehicle-mounted deployments. Beacon mode enables the device to be discovered by other STORKs or BLE-capable devices. Powered by a single C-cell LTC battery for 5+ years of operation. Integrates with TEKTELIC LOCUS for visualization and supports open API for third-party platforms.

Activation: STORK ships in DEEP SLEEP. A magnet (not included) is required to wake the device for first deployment.


Use cases: Construction equipment tracking · warehouse pallet tracking · manufacturing asset tracking · multi-building campus asset visibility · vehicle and trailer tracking · cold chain logistics (above −40 °C).


Wi-Fi sniffing: STORK captures Wi-Fi AP MAC addresses and RSSI but does not connect to networks. This data is forwarded to a geolocation service (e.g., LoRa Cloud) for position resolution.


Optional 12 V power: An External Power variant accepts 12 V DC input for vehicle-mounted deployments with permanent power.
